Lowering my outcome

Not sure if this is the correct place for this - please feel free to move if there is a better place for it.

Yet again next year I'm going to be studying in London and am currently looking for somewhere to live. I've been tutoring Sciences and Maths (GCSE, A-level and KS3) as well as giving some singing lessons to cover my rent this year... but I was thinking that maybe I could actually lower my rent by lodging with a family for a lower rent / free in exchange for tutoring and homework help.

Does anyone have any experience of this or indeed some advice on how to embark on this?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Can't help you but think it is a very novel idea, good luck. I would certainly consider it myself, have an intelligent son with learning difficulties, so you would be a godsend!
I love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Try advertising in 'The Lady'. You could also try contacting schools (a CRB check might be reassuring to parents, if you've got it).

You don't happen to live in London :rotfl: ?

Cholitta: I'm currently working on getting a CRB check! Thanks for the ideas... please, keep them coming!

Do you think this is the best place to post this question? Do you think I night get more responses in one of the other forums?
