I received over the week end a letter from RW and it says the following:

"Further to your request for a copy statement/agreement for your account. Our clients confirms that all relevant information has previously been sent to you, and that the balance outstanding as stated above is correct"

The 12+2+30 for the CCA request is coming up on the 18th July and I have not received any documents that they say I should have. Do they mean maybe at the time the account was open in 1994!!!! For me it seems that they cannot provide me with the documents requested?

Do you think I should reply to that letter or just wait to send letter when the 30 days limit is coming up???

    Any advise would be appreciated

    Thank you,

I would just wait until the 18th.

There is a good chance that they will no longer have the CCA and even if they do it may not be legally valid. Even then, it may be that the debt is statute barred.

As they mention "our client" it may be that Debenhams still own the debt, but to check when the last payment was made if you are still unsure about this, i would send a subject access request (SAR) to Debenhams requesting all data they hold on you. This should include any accounts you have had with them in the past 6 years and details of payments you have made to them. No need to give them an account number or anything. If they do not have any information that they can give you relating to this account, then it is probably past the 6 year deadline and you can write to the DCA stating that the debt is statute barred.
