Just tried to place first order with code and got following message

    ERROR:
You have entered an invalid First Order Reference Number
I have used it for my first order but I did try to order the Dyson that was cancelled so I did have a reference number to enter as I would of been already on there system. Maybe thats why it worked for me?.

Please could you tell me where to enter this code. I am a new customer and want to order some furniture from them but when I put any code in the first order reference box I am getting an error message. Is there somewhere else where you can enter the code?
I am a new customer but I do have a reference number as I tried to order a Dyson from them that was cancelled. That must be why the code worked for me, and I also paid by switch.

I have a reference number now as I ordered the furniture and have now cancelled it as the discount didn't go through!! Just tried to reorder now with that reference number. Does the ammended amount show on screen or does it only show once you get your statement through? Don't want to place the order again only to have to cancel again!!!

No it won't show up on screen, it will be on your statment and if you go into "my account" about 2-3 days after you order it, the new price should be in there.

Just received an email from the Kays Lifestyle customer services saying that the DETE code is only applicable to Kays accounts and not Kays Lifestyle. Kays do the same products as Kays lifestyle but is slightly dearer but on the other hand you do get 10% cashback on your account. I have now reordered through Kays as the 30% off and the cashback still worked out cheaper than Kays Lifestyle with a 20% discount?!? Very confusing especially as Additions do the same stuff again but alot cheaper but you can only get 10% off and have to pay delivery.
Hopefully though if the code goes through ok this thread will have saved me about £171! Thanks guys!

Just remebered as well that the code didn't go through as a new customer order code. The easiest way to get round this is to place an order, wait for a confirmation email containing a customer reference number, then go online, cancel the order and reorder using your customer number. The code then seems to go through ok!
