My Mum used to grow Loganberries and I remember them to be dark (dark purple as opposed to red). Here's a pic of some Loganberries, showing different stages of ripeness (sorry, I don't know how to post the pic itself:o ):

I pick blackberries every year and, unless it's an odd one, they're not usually long in shape
So could the long dark ones be loganberries and the long red ones be tayberries?
