I do NOT believe it... £50,000 drop in Cambridge!

How can there be bargains around when the market is still buoyant, with properties making over their asking price??

If you think that's bad.... how about this one for £470,000 ?:eek::eek::eek:

Having a nosey on nethouseprices today....the above were selling for £450k in 2007 so probably will have already made slight falls. I think they were originally sold for around the £410k mark when they were built in 2006
and then these in the same area...

Last one sold (identical layout) went for £470k in oct 2007....ouch. They were selling for around the £370-£400k mark new, at the beginning of 2004.0 -
I don't know why anyone would buy those new build river flats. You're paying a huge premium for the 'river view' but you're set back from the river with a road in between.
Would much rather something in this part of town http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-17762968.rsp?pa_n=3&tr_t=buy . Those new build prices make this look cheap!
You'd gut it and have a great pad in a nicer part of town and genuine river views...no outside space though.0 -

I wouldn't touch those with a bargepole. I've certainly seen the (only?) access road into those flooded in the past.Stompa0 -
Large numbers of punting tourists passing by in the summer though.
I don't really see that as a bad thing. Those flats on the river in Quayside rarely come on to the market. Hopefully all the newly built flats in Cambridge will bring their prices down...here's hoping as I quite fancy one.0 -

hmmm I was thinking about putting in an offer on the above. Spoke to the agent and was told there's been some negotiating on the property (so I naturally think people are negotiating the price down) in fact there's three offers for £460k and rising!0 -
