60gb photo ipod £299 (£275 for students and teachers)

I only posted this because I saw that Argos have *reduced* their 60gb ipods to £360, while on the apple site, they have them for £299. You can also get engraving free on the back of you want the ipod personalised.
Also, if you click on the link for education on the right hand side of the store webpage, you go to the education store, where everything is 10% off. I'm a teacher, so it works well for me. You can also get the money off if you're a student, but you need to over 18.
I'm thinking about getting one for christmas, but I've heard bad things about the batteries. Is there anyone who would suggest an alternative player - I quite like the idea of a really large hard drive.
