I agree - I was only joking.
Banks' telephone collections departments are the pits, and I truly pity anyone who works for them. But throwing the "Administration of Justice Act" into the conversation usually makes them back off.
My partner was in debt trouble about 3 or 4 years ago (she's back on her feet now), but she was pestered by Halifax collections over a paltry 700 pounds. They rang at all hours, including 8.30 on a Sunday morning, until she sent a letter, saying that she only wished to communicate via letter, that the constant phone calls were causing unnecessary distress, and quoting bits about the administration of justice act, and the calls suddenly stopped.The best way to save money is not to spend it.:cheesy: "Smile first thing in the morning.
