been everywhere i can think of (from asda/tesco to next/zara/hennes through to M&S/debenhams) and i just can't find a suit.... i don't want a black one (there are admittedly quite a lot of black ones out there), but don't mind what colour it is beyond that very much. is it just the wrong time of year? i don't want to spend much (£50 would be great and i can't go over £100). saw a nice one on the tesco florence and fred website but it doesn't appear to be in any stores i've been in to...... all suggestions greatfully received!!!
oh and i'm a size 12ish btw too!)

Their suits are so cheap because they are made in Nepal.
With an average per capita Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of US$260 (2004), Nepal is the poorest country in South Asia and ranks as the twelfth poorest country in the world according to World Bank. Nearly one in every three children in Nepal is a child labourer. An estimated 1 million children are engaged in hazardous and exploitative activities.
Somebody must be making a lot of money out of these cheap suits but it probably won't be the people who make them.0 -

Who makes my suit?
A Suit That Fits uses the skills of an elite cadre of Nepalese tailors based in Kathmandu, Nepal. Using only family run tailoring workshops, our tailors are the cream of the Himalayan crop, commanding salaries 50% higher than their peers.
We have been tailoring for a discerning English market since May 2006; the high rates of pay and high standards of our workshops shines through in the quality of the garments we produce. We pride ourselves on the quality of our garments above all else.
In addition to excellent rates of pay for our master cutters, right down to our stitching tailors, we also contribute to a group of schools in Nepal called HVP. HVP takes in orphans and teaches many different subjects to a high standard. A Suit That Fits is proud to support HVP and to be reinvesting back into Nepal. If you would like to know more about the school, please get in touch with the UK-based charity HVP-UK.JeremyMarried 9th May 20090 -
thanks - i looked through all the pictures and they were for men! i didn't see that bit!!
(and i'm glad it's 'ethical' btw. i haven't - and won't - go to primark for their record on paying people!):happyhear0 -
Yes I am sure the stuff that most people buy in the high street is a lot less ethical than what the guys at a suit that fits do!JeremyMarried 9th May 20090
