Cotton wool pads

Hi everyone

I should of put this on the Cod question but forgot.

I have 2 teenage daughters and with 3 females in the house we go through panty liners and cotton wool pads like made. I have managed to find panty liners at 23p for 30 at sains which are great for the money but not cotton wool pads. What do other ladies use to take make-up of that is cheaper?

I haven't tried these yet but intend to get some when I next stock up on soap... they look more environmentally friendly than cotton wool pads, if they work

I usually get the cotton wool pads from tesco. theres 100 per pack and i get the twin packs which is £1.04., though i haven't bought a pack for about 6m as i buy a few twin packs in one go so i can't guarantee the price. Alternatively i get the cotton wool balls from the baby products section (at Tesco) in which there about 200-300 balls for about £1.02 - they are good for makeup removal especially if you can carefully unravel one.
mum uses a small damp muslin cloth to wipe off any cleanser and just washes them regularly.

I recently started using washable cleansing cloths from beauty naturals

If you don't mind the bother of washing them after each use, they're quite a money saver, I've found.

The Sainsbury's website has Basics 100% cotton wool pads at 55p/100 but sorry I've never seen them in store!

Muslin cloths, rinsed out in hot water and hung on the rad or towel rail to dry save on cotton wool pads. I just get the tescos basics for nail varnish removal

I think some stores have them as I have managed to find them in store in both Cambridge and Barnstaple - they do the job just fine (both for facial use and for removing nail varnish) and they don't "fluff" like some of the more expensive ones seem to!

I use muslin cloths or little facial sponges (round sponges covered in flannel) that I got from Love the Planet: http://www.lovetheplanet.co.uk/shop/index.html
I use these to take off cleanser and then sling them in the washing machine along with my regular wash load. They've saved me heaps in cotton wool as I've had them a few years.
For eye make-up remover and facial toner I use cotton wool pads - cheapest recently that I found were 2 x 100 for £1 in Asda. Also, the baby section often has cheaper cotton wool pads. Sometimes cotton wool balls are a lot cheaper than pads too.
