:hello:
Can anyone tell me what this bug is? There's loads in me garden, and I want to be sure it doesn't eat pumpkins.

N.B. The apostrophe in the title is not a mistake.

If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

It's a ladybird larvae and is your ickle friend!
The adults and larvae will scoff any pesky aphids in your garden. I have the mind of a criminal genius. I keep it in the freezer next to Mother....0 -
Ta very much. I thought it looked too cool to be a baddie.
Makes me glad I was really careful not to kill any, too! :j If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Ahh, thanks for that! I've got loads of these on my roses and I noticed that they were now aphid free
Nice to know what's living in the garden! 0 -

having spent most of the day weeding my front and back garden i have met a fair few mini beasts i was not previously aquainted with - none of which i had any inclination to hold in my hand and photo (eek) - kept my gloves firmly on and danced like a mainiac round the garden when a woodlouse got to close to the wrist end of the glove!! unfortunatly my nextdoor nieghbour was passing by her window at the time a called her children to see the strange woman next door freaked out by the insect! i dont care weather they are good or bad i am not very good with the residents living in my garden!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

But I needed to know what it was! It was easier to photograph than describe! Anyway, I don't think there's much (if anything) in Britain that can bother you. Go ahead, pick one up! Bugs are great!

I wish more of them would come and live in my garden! The local kids collect ladybirds off the hedges in the summer and bring them to my garden
