Another quick one, you have 5 children, but you have not listed benefits? Do you not receive child allowance/benefit or WTC?

Yes only £30 a month on diesel. It used to be alot more but OH bought a pushbike to use for work, that saved us £20 a month. And we stopped the weekend day trips too :( Maybe once we get on top of this we can start having fun days out again.

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

The car insurance is £58 per month, and the HP cost is £260 per month, is it really worth having a car if you are not using it, it is losing value all the time it is sat on the drive.

If you only use the car to supermarket shop, can you not shop online.

Does you husband have any idea of the amount of debt?

Please think about telling your hubby
I hid my debt until he 'found out'
I honestly thought he was going to leave, it took him a long time to trust me again but now we're tackling it together and have nearly cleared it all

Not stupid - your a newbie, you are not expected to know everything.:D

So do you not work at all? (by that I mean in Paid employment, you do more than me with 5 children!)Can you work in the evening? how old are your children? Can they do a sat job to help out a wee bit:confused:

He knows about the car finance (obviously) and the credit card and catalogues. He knows nothing of the rest. Telling him would end my life..lets just say theres a history of domesic abuse that has laid dormant since counselling 5 years ago.

ALL money comes in and out of my account. Even his wages. He has no savings or spare money, so even if i told him its not like he could help me out unfortunatly :(

Plus I got us into this mess, I gotta get us out.
