2 Hours With The Or On The Phone!

Hello – i'm back – thought i'd give a brief history of what happened with my OR. as you can see from the title 2 hours.....god i feel drained.

Apart from feeling incredibly sick/stomach muscles doing god knows what/and bum muscles seriously clenching as bowels incredibly loose sorry! For graphic description to those of you with a gentle disposition. Have had my call – they phoned in the first instance 20 mins late!

didn't go too well at first; devled into how I managed to pay 5000 for my car in one year; - when I said that I spread the cost between cards because they were offering 0%, didn't seem impressed = also wanted to know why car only worth 1200 when sold – who sold it to – what did I do with money – when I said that I had to pay back afriend wanted to know friends name, well can't give that info as they do not wish to know me and want nothing to do with me and if they found out would cause me lots of trouble elsewhere..long story. OR then said that I was under obligation to inform them, I said if I knew I would, I paid the debt through their credit card details, not in person through transfer from my bank to their card! OR then said that she wanted to ring me back in 5 mins....so sitting here cacking it again..almost in tears... I know that i've f**ked up, I know that i've been stupid and took on too much, all I want now is for this to be over and done with. Feel sick to my stomach, trying to keep my bowels in check once again. Feel that they think I deliberately got less for the car! No – asked me if car was second hand – was only a year old – said that friend threatened my life, so was reluctant to get involvement she left it at that point.

She then asked about the house and secured loan on the house – hey got fleeced – home improvement cowboys eat your heart out – not quite sure whether she believed me that i'd got fleeced but there we are. Ended up with my cousin doing the work, but didn't tell her that, don't want my family knowing i'm BR as they seem to think everything is rosy. Plus going BR is enough of an assault course without letting my mum know! I'd rather have a BRO!

When asked about the credit cards and why I took them out...years ago...can't remember what had for dinner last week... I was weak! I admitt that, I wanted to live the high life and now its come back and bit me on my ar5e. Asked what I spent them on....lol... you gotta love that one... clothes, shoes, handbags, holidays, clothes shoes, handbags, holidays food! Petrol, college books. She did ask had I used them recently.- NOPE not used credit cards for at least a year, especially knowing that I was having trouble!

Asked if I had given away any other property – got nothing to give away! Or sell!

So if my bad judgement and crap budgeting and money handling gets me an IPA for a while, hey so be it, I can live with that. Better pay them a couple of quid so to speak and remain in budget then 000's to various people and still not be able to live! They did say that they want me to do an IPA coz it looks like i'll have at least 150 excess – which to be honest I really don't mind. But did stress that my income fluctuates so have to fill in a new I&E form and return that. She did say that i'd probably get 0% tax code – tough luck gordon brown – said that i'd rather them have it then him! So they probably get a good wack to pay towards the creditors!

I'm crying don't mind admitting that, this has been one tough learning curve! One which I will never!!!! every go through again. If I want something I will do what I used to do and that's save!

I suppose like everyone else, she finished off by saying that i'd be automatically discharged in a year – and could have an early discharge! Let's put it this way hopefully – not counting chicks .

I'll think I will take the pooch out, need to clear head and destress and relax. Thanks to you all for you support it has been greatly appreciated.:A

that certainly was a tough interview, but the more info they get now, the less likely they are to hassle you further down the line.

    Glad its over for you.
The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(
  • Your absolutely right Dalip - debt free!!!! it is an exhausting process to go through I am now ranging between hystericla laughter knowing that £40k of debt is now gone and being incredibly sober at the knowledge of how the blazes did it get so bad! Anyone else who reads this take heart it is embarassing explaining how you spent your money to some stranger, but once you have done that - that is it! debt free here we go - I am now setting myself a challenge and that is to save up to go on holiday to aussie. so well see how I do over the coming months. your right betterlatethannever immodium would have worked! still a few pounds lighter now...lol :rotfl:

My interview was 3 and a half hours! Everyone said it would be about an hour - err no, it took forever and I totally empathise with the drained feeling you get.

Not always the end of it either, ours was last september and we are still going through it with the OR and are even going to court next week as they want to impose an IPO on us.

I know we have had a lot of bad luck with our OR but it happens, its not always the end after the interview.

  • mmmmm, I got my interview with the OR next week, and I was told it would take between 45-60mins......looks like, I had best put the kettle on eh !!!!

It doesnt worry me, speaking to them, cos in all honesty with the way the economy is going, they are probably in as much trouble as I was !!!!!

I dont worry about speaking or telling anyone about my troubles, chin up and tackle it head on and SMILE !
