Should I add a notice of correction to my file?

Hi

i've got nothing "bad" on my credit file in the sense of late payments, defaults etc etc I pay everything on time and have lots of nice green 0's. I have a resi mortgage, a credit card i use sparingly but pay off in full and have recently completed (last month) on 6 buy to let mortgages with BM solutions and TMB

Trouble is I applied for a 7th this month and failed DIP on credit score with both BM and TMB and of course the deal fell apart.

the only thing i can think that would cause me to fail is having too many searches on my file in a short space of time. would adding a notice of correction to my credit file (thus forcing a referral rather than an automatic decision) stating that i am an investor and the high number of searches relates to BTL mortgage applications make sense?

regards

leighton
