Thanks; it is time consuming I admit, but, not worth making a saving if you find cover is not what you expected it to be.
Also just trying a few on Quidco to see what quotes they generate; I won't however take it just on the cashback. Having had need to claim and seen such differences in the performance of the insurance companies we have used in the past, certainly this is a price+service consideration, not just price alone.
Good luck in your efforts too.0 -

Are you anywhere near an outlet village? We always go to visit relarives in Cheshire at Xmas and there is a massive outlet village there called Cheshire Oaks (this is the biggest one in the UK).

Would be quite interested in your anyalsis of the different companies, if you don't mind me stealing your research.0

I'll simply be checking our existing policy terms against others which offer reasonable rates (but ignoring those I can't get a PDF policy wording for - can't tell what you're then signing up for).
If I spot anything specific I'll drop you a PM0 -
Well I suppose I shouldn't begrudge DD her wish for a cat, my "cat" (Jaguar S-Type) was serviced & MOT-ed today and set me back £438. However, I had kept a voucher for 15% off labour (and got 10% off parts) which helped to reduce the bill to this amount (and I think I'll get a couple of free cinema tickets too). It was £120 cheaper than last year so the costs are averaging out a little more than the Ford I used to own, but are all within the expected budget levels.
I'll need to get front wheel alignment checked at the weekend; I usually do this annually and certainly on the (very rare) occasions when I clip a kerb. I recommend you do so, for the sake of £20 you can save £200 on tyres by ensuring even wear and of course, worn tyres are a safety issue in themselves. You only have four small areas of rubber keeping you on the road but some people don't seem to think about it that way!0 -
Stuart, I personally wouldn't bother with The Galleria (Hatfield) - last few times we've been we've been really disappointed.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I agree The Galleria isn't that brilliant, but live close to Cheshire Oaks now so when I save up for a spree at Xmas (after losing baby weight) I can't wait to go there. Haven't had any clothes for ages.0

Do you live anywhere near Biscester as they have an outlet mall there?0

The other one not far from here (although further east than Hatfield) is Freeport at Braintree - which we find to be extremely good.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Thanks both of you for these details; I hadn't originally thought of Hatfield until it came up on the site - you've confirmed that EH.
