Thank you Fermi. It does seem to get very confusing  . The only reason I want to try and keep my credit report as clean as I can from now on is because of my mortgage. Our fixed rate ends next April, and although it is by no means perfect, I don't want potential lenders thinking I have defaulted as late as May 2008, when in fact my last default date was October 2007. Maybe it doesn't make a huge difference in the grand scheme of things. I check my credit reports via checkmyfile.com and this lets me see Experian and Callcredit. But I'm sure on one of them they have the same debt registerd under HSBC and under the Vortex Data Science (parent of 1st Revenue, the name just popped into my head!!)

I think I will get the Experian and Equifax by post, just to clarify things. Also, our mortgage doesn't appear on Callcredit or Experian, so I'm guessing that must show on Equifax???

Thank you for all of your help
