I don't think this is nationwide, but there was a full page advert in our local Scun.thorpe Telegraph newspaper last night. It says:
Gas, electricity and water bills.
We're all struggling with the increases.
So Tesco are offering a little help.
Show us your bill...
And when you spend £30 or more,
we'll give you £5 off your shopping.
And the small print underneath reads:
Bring in any utility bill (electricity, gas or water) and receive a Coupon for £5 of your next shop of £30 or more in store at Tesco Extra Scun.thorpe. Bills must be original, less than six months old and addressed to the customer's home address. Photocopies will not be accepted. Only one Coupon will be awarded per bill up to a maximum of 5 bills per customer (bills will be stamped by the store to prevent abuse). Coupons will be awarded at Store Management's discretion and we reserve the right to refuse Bills in the event of abuse or non-compliance with these terms and conditions. Offer ends 13 July 2008. Coupons valid until 20 July 2008. Only one coupon may be redeemed per transaction. Valid at Tesco Extra Scun.thorpe only. Coupons have no cash value and remain the property of Tesco Stores Limited. Not for resale or publication. Copied, damaged or defaced coupons will not be accepted. Promoter: Tesco Stores Limited, Tesco House, Delamare Road, Cheshunt, Hertfordshire EN8 9SL
Any other Tesco stores around the country in on this promotion? I haven't tried it out yet, but I will!
