I would like a TFT monitor for my computer, but what is a good buy?
I have 2 children, so has to be something thats sturdy.
Also is 17" big enough or am I better going for a bigger one?

I bought a new TFT monitor yesterday at Asda. Its 17 inch, silver by Benq & it's absolutely fab, the writting is much bigger so I'm not squinting so much.
By the way it cost £149.97 :jShaz xx

17" TFT have more screen space than a 17" CRT remember. 17" is big enough, but a 21" widescreen would be nicer!
Remember to run at the NATIVE resolution, or they look 'orrible0 -

quite alot of choice if just going for arias own make or there is also a dell TFT at a good price. i also spotted a monster 24 inch TFT! but i dont think no one will pay nearly £650 for that! Its better to close your mouth and appear stupid, than to open it and remove all doubt...:p0 -
I bought an Acer 1714 TFT from Argos yesterday for £149.99, I did find it cheaper (£139)in Comet, but it was out of stock and discontinued according to the Manager. However, I went ahead and bought the one in Argos and used a £5 discount from my Argos Card account and 3 months interest free credit. The bonus was that the Screen speed was 8ms instead of 14ms as advertised in the brochure. (Not sure how significant that is but I think its good.)
Hubby very happy with his Birthday pressie!
