My sister got married at our local registrar office last month. Her and H2B were seen together but then came back into the waiting area (where all the guests were waiting). We were then asked to go into the main room and my sister, my dad and her children waited outside til everyone was in the main room. She then came in with my Dad and walked down the aisle followed by the kids.
I get married in November and my pack from the registrar asks if I want to be seen separately and also who will be walking me in. Definitely ring back as I’d be really surprised if you cannot walk down the aisle with your Dad!
That's what I wanted too. I don't mind seeing OH before the wedding, it was just the point of my dad walking me down the aisle. Think I might ring back actually as it really does upset me to think I won't be able to.
I'll try ringing on a different day - might get a different registrar!Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked

At Bournemouth town hall, we were given a booklet which options for the wedding ceremony, and we just picked a,b, or c. My partner had to arrive 10 mins before ceremony to see the registrar, and myself 5 mins before as we didnt want to see each other before, and my dad walked me down. I would say to double check you cant be kept seperate, as i original phoned up as on the booklet it said we could only use one of their ring vows and i wanted to use 2, the person on the phone said no, then i saw my friends booklet from registry office down the road and they said she could use all 5!!! So went down in person, and they ok'd it. So like you said speak or see in person another registrar. Hope you get it sorted, at the end of the day it your special day x x x0

I've got a booklet and it says I can choose from 3 different sets of vows. It doesn't say anything about being kept seperate but it also says ' Our registrars are there to help and guide you before and during your special day. They are happy to discuss the finer details of your marraige ceremony and help you personalise your ceremony.' That says to me that I should be allowed to go back out of the room and have my dad walk me in once the guests are seated. I feel a bit of Bridezilla coming on.................Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked

I doubt it is the first time they have had this request and they surely don't say no to everyone.
I mean what would they do if you said just before the ceremony
"I am just nipping out to the loo" and magically you came back in on your Dads arm?
Your day - stick to you guns.0 -
Go Bridezilla!!!! That was the only time through planning our wedding that i got annoyed, and marched on down there with hubby to demand to be able say whatever ring vows we wanted!!0

I am another bride who had a civil ceremony in a country house hotel and the Registrar saw us both seperately before the ceremony - seeing us together was never even discussed as it's not very traditional! I think someone has got it wrong somewhere! I hope you get it sorted xIt all works out good in the end.If it's not good, it's not the end!0
