I am looking for a photographer to take some pics of my little darlings for a pressie for OH for Father's Day. looking for someone in the Manchester area doing Venture style photos at money savers prices!!

Kids can be shy with strangers so want a nice, calm person taking them!! Anyone had any good experiences?

Time is ticking, please help :huh:

hello i had some photos of my kids done last month at a place called blue giraffe studios which is just off the m60, which was recommended to me by a collegue. The photographer has my 3year old eating out of the palm of her hand and was really great. we took loads of different outfits and the kids had a whale of a time. the finished photos were fab, venture style with a white back ground but wayyyyyyyy cheaper! havent got the contact details with me as i'm at work but if you google them the details were on their website. hope that helps,

Have you thought about contacting local uni's/colleges? A lot of photography students need to build up their portfolios so will happily work for free, maybe just have their travel and print/disc costs covered. My brother had two photographers at his wedding by going down this route for the grand sum of £0. Even if they don't have studio access, how cute would pictures of your littlies playing in the park or feeding the ducks be?

Took a look at the website www.bluegiraffestudios.com and like the style of the pics on there of children so have given her a ring and she has some good introductory offers on at the moment (nice and MSE) so am going on Saturday.

Very close to the MIL's house so she is going to get a few pics of the kids done to add to the hundreds on her wall!!

Thanks also csa40, using students was a good idea, but fancied the studio type look with white background.
