New to DMP's

Options
Hi All,

I have just started the DMP process with CCCS and though I am sure there welcome pack will answer some of my worries I am too impatient / nervous to wait.

This is what I owe, 14k to MBNA, 14k to Barclaycard, 5k to Natwest, 5k to Egg, 4k to Morgan Stanley, 1k to More and a 1.5k overdraft to Barclays.

My DMP will be £422 per month and the online calculation is it will take nearly 9 years to clear.

So can someone take me through the likely path this is going to take.

Along with the fear of constant harrasment by the Card companies followed by the DCA's my other fear is the interest and late charges building up on each debt.

Has anyone with a dpm going through CCCS had a debt where the Interest was never frozen ?

Plus what sort of charges can a DCA add to an existing debt ?

Any other advice on what I can expect and what I should do will be gratefully received.

Cheers,

Judder

My Dmp with CCCS has been going for a year. all my creditors froze interest straight away apart from Lloyds but they did eventually. the calls from creditors and DCAs stopped within a month of my dmp starting and I've had no problems since. when you get calls inform them of your dmp and tell them you are with CCCS and put the phone down. these calls should stop pretty quickly. good luck with it.
