Whoo Hoo, couple of months ago my wife won a voucher through work...one of these deals where you can exchange it for spa days, parachute jumps, hotel stay etc etc etc.
Been really lavish and booked tomorrow off work, asked my mum to look after daugher, neighbour to look after dog, wifes mum to look after cats and spending night in incredibly posh hotel in Windermere tomorrow night!
And since one night wasn't really enough time to see the lakes, we've found a cheaper b&b place just up the road, so we're going to slum it there for the second night and make a weekend of it.
Kid free weekend....I better pack the batman suit (cos I can't be leaping off wardrobes without it, can I?)

It's the first time we've had 'quality time' along for ages so trust me, with what I've got planned you don't want to be anywhere near that room!

£200? Jammy git!!!! Any shop in particular or just whatever takes your fancy?
And whats this "money found in street thing"....I have a change jar at work and I'm also obsessed with picking up pennies in the street - they all go in the jar...
but it seems some little turd glues a penny to the pavement outside my house recently. I bent down to pick it up the first time and found it was glued really really well.....
So for the past few days on the way to work I've been scuffing it with my shoes as I pass in the hope that eventually I'll loosen it....IT WILL BE MINE!!!!0 -
Ah well, as i live not to far away from the lakes..we might see you on the news...
Gp and wife in Wardrobe hanky panky. Hotel was mystified as to how the chandelier broke. A spokesman said ..it took us ages to pick the bits out, but it was fun...video on You tube:rotfl: :rotfl:
Seriously though, have a nice time. Hopefully the weather will stay good for you, and you should make the most of time without kiddies.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Well it's been a bit of a stressfull week and all that...so to be honest it would be nice to just get to some peaceful surroundings and recharge the battery. I'm really tired. Will probably sleep all the way through.
Will try for at least one wardrobe incident though.0 -
We went away lastweekend. Even though we drove down to Cornwall, it was worth it. Unfortunately the wardrobes were fitted and we had two teenagers with us. But the break was great, and i got to see my eldest daughter...wonderful.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
