help I'm new
i was put into default on a credit agreement that i have never had with a company called aktiv kapital, this is showing on all the major credit reference agency info ,they took the alleged debt off first national tricity finance who i did previously have an agreement with and was in dispute over alleged charges, tricity had stopped taking DD from my bank account when the agreement ended then sent me a letter saying i owed £455, i asked for clarification on the charges and was contacted months later by aktiv.
i payed aktiv straight away as i was i formed over the phone I WOULD PAY or be taken to court or bailiffs would attend my address.
so hear i am iv payed £455 and I'm showing as defaulted on a credit agreement, its says satisfied but in my view its not the point.
can i do anything about this

First national tricity finance should not have passed on the debt whilst it was in dispute. Were aktiv informed that the debt was in dispute?
OFT debt collection guidance states:
Deceptive/unfair methods
2.8k. not ceasing collection activity whilst investigating a reasonably queried or disputed debt.
Although i'm uncertain if this also applies to the original creditor national tricity finance.
Not too sure what you can do about it now that you have paid the debt, but you could write to them and inform them that they have breached the OFT guidlines and report them to the OFT for this breach unless the monies are returned in full. Also if they are unable to supply a copy of the CCA for which they put a default notice on your credit file for, you wish for that notice to be removed. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

thanks Georgeuk
the last point about requesting cca is what I'm really interested in, no agreement so should be no default !.spoke to the office that dealt with it and they no longer have my records !! so will try again 2morr.0
