Need advice on business name ideas
bhz-2
I'd like to start a business offering children's craft parties but I can't think of a suitable name.
Please let me know if you can suggest a name or a website where I can find a free business name generator (without having to download a software).
Many thanks!

partycraft
sticky kids (or kidz - I don't like the poor spelling but it seems popular so you could also use craftz or kraft!!)
craft gang
green welly crafts (topical!)
craft troop
I could go on but will just say a name that reflects what you do can save on advertising. e.g. Yellow Monkeys needs explaining - what do they do, but Crafty Kidz (woops!) needs none - so price per word on a big banner is reduced - less words needed on business cards etc.
I don't think there is a website that will create a name for you, though I am sure the agencies for marketing will charge you plenty to create an image.
When you have a name use the internet and local telephone directories to ensure no-one is using the name, at least in the vicinity. Then get a bank account in the name or send yourself a registered letter with the name such as a letter head - do not open it. Either of these will crystalise the date you started using the name in case someone challenges you in the future. This is cheaper than trade marking and registered designs, though they might be advisable if you want to offer a franchise in the future for example.
Good luck"The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him no good."(Samuel Johnson 1709-1784)
