I don't know what the lenders earn from selling PPI, but I do know that many of the companies and brokers who sell lump sum policies, which are usually added to the mortgage or secured loan and only give protection for up to 5 years despite being paid back over the mortgage/loan term, they earn 50% + of the policy cost.
Disgusting and immoral.I am a Mortgage Consultant and don't like to be told what I can and can't put in a signature so long as it's legal and truthful.0 -
Its very poor value for money. but what I would love to know is the true grounds for rejecting the complaints. No doubt the insurers would put it down to broker mis-selling as thats a convenient excuse to use.I am a Mortgage Adviser
