Help getting a loan....
Options
I need a loan for £4,000 - basically to clear off my overdraft in full and get myself back on my feet. I owe about £8,000 in total but can make the repayments. I just want to consolidate some of the debt and wipe the slate clean regarding my overdraft.
I have been turned down by my bank and one other lender and not sure what to do now. I have never missed a loan/credit card payment and earn £18,000 a year. I am a private tenant so do not own my own home.
Keep getting dodgy companies phone up and saying Welcome Finance will approve me but they charge 64% apr
Not sure what to do.... any advice greatly appreciate?
I am thinking of asking my brother or parents to take a loan out for me, but really I would like to do it on my own as they have helped me out before
Thanks for reading! xx

unless you have addressed the reasons you are in debt 'wiping the slate clean' won't stop you running up your OD again.
What APR are you paying on the OD?
How much is it?
there's no point in transferring debt to a higher APR.
best to go over to the debt freewannabe board and seek advice about budgetting and reducing your spending0 -
I have got a budget and reduced as much as I can, so am ready to start my economising road to a debt free life : )0

Have you checked your credit file? Can you identify a reason why you have never missed a loan/credit card payment and earn £18,000 a year but keep getting turned down?
Are you not on the electoral register by any chance?0 -
Why not just pay off a small amount (or whatever you can) from your overdraft every month and then ring up immediately and reduce itLBM - 30/07/09
Started DMP in Oct 2009, went wrong. Due to start new DMP in March/April 2013. Bring it on!
