Creit Report Please advise !!

i have obtained a copy of my credit report because lately i have been unable to obtain any new credit.

i have a littlewoods account and my credit report says the number of status 1-2 is 8, and when i looked in the booklet 8 means the account is in default and the credit agreement has been ended, this is not the case.

My question is, what does the status does mean i do not want to phone and dispute this with out knowing for sure. it is a little confusing.

Status 1-2 normally just means "1 or 2" payments late or missed.

Status 8 means default.

If it is saying you have 8 status 1-2, it means that you have been late paying 8 times in the last 36 months or whatever it is.

This does not mean that they have you down as a default.

If it says you have a status 8 (which from your post above, it does not seem to be saying) then it says you have a default, which you could question.

As long as it only says status 1-2, this does not show a default so you don't have to have the big argument with the catalogue!

right i get it, did not think i had missed it as much as 8 times but maybe i have !!

Remember your credit report goes back 6 years, so you may have been late a few times over that period of time!
