What would you advise? RE: Littlewoods

Options
Hi there, just wondering if anyone could advise on what i'd be best to do...

Ive run up some late fees and admin charges with littlewoods paid £160 in feb only had about £40 left to pay (ive not even bought £160 worth of goods) and stupidly forgot about them and the balance has gone up to £125.
Ive sent off a SAR so i can go through my statements and check into what charges i can claim back. Should i pay off this £125 now and then no more charges will be added or shall i leave it- let them add extra charges and just claim them back too after... If that makes sense?!

Any advice appreciated :)

don't not make the minimum payment. It could take months to get the charges back and they will start marking your credit report.

I have mixed feelings about littlewoods.
They once charged me for a late fee and I complained and got it refunded...you could try that.
On the other hand they are saying at the moment that I owe them £250 that should have been credited to my account after things weren't delivered (on two seperate instances in the same month...first they delivered to the old address despite statements coming to the new one, and secondly my engagement ring that OH ordered from them just went missing!! Now have a much nicer engagement ring for same money :-) )

Thanks- decided to pay off the full balance as wasnt a huge amount- didnt want it to get scary big! At least thats me done with them now (have to say found it hilarious theyve been chasing me for payments for months and then when i FINALLY pay it all off they ask if im interested in their promotion on egyptian cotton pillows... ooh egyption cotton... catches glare in partners eye... better not! :p lol)
Now i can concentrate on getting back my late payment and admin fees which add up to over £100 :) wish me luck! Thanks again for your advice :)

go for it - with it paid off in full, you know that you've now one goal to aim for ;)

Use the standard letters and you'll soon have the money back.

  • I bought a television last year from Littlewoods on Buy Now Pay Later July 2008, I also asked for the payment terms to be over 52 weeks as the item was over £60 the person who I spoke to confirmed that this was ok. Now I have checked my statement and the item has been put over 20wks therefore increasing my monthly payment to nearly £250 ! I have been told there is nothing I can do about this other than transfer to an interest payment scheme but it is 29.9% APR !! I have called Littlewoods twice and nothing, I have sent a letter, now I really don't know what to do as I cannot afford the payment please help.......
