For any 'Old Stylers' who hand wash clothes

If you only have a small amount of clothes that need refreshing ie not stained why not hand wash them instead of using the washing machine?

Save yourself some money on energy bills.

Woolite can be used in the machine or for handwashing clothes.

It is half price in Wilkinsons at the minute ie £1.49 (£2.99 at Mr T's).

Is Woolite particularly good for handwashing clothes? I usually just use normal washing powder - it generally has handwashing instructions somewhere on the box, and if not then I just add enough to make the water a bit cloudy.

I haven't bought it myself before, just saw it on offer today.

I bought my daughter a Hannah Montana t-shirt from Asda and it is full of sequins so didn't want to machine wash it.

I don't like using washing powder for handwashing, it never seems to disolve properly and I always end up with white bits on the clothes.

A good way of making sure the washing power is dissolved when doing hand washing is to put it in a heat proof bowl and pour some boiling water over it, swish it around with a spoon, when it's dissolved add it to the washing water.
