Hi all, I've been having trouble keeping up repayments for about 3 months now with one of my credit cards. I owe total £40,000 in loans and cc's Here is a small breakdown
Credit cards (TSB £4,000, CP-ONE £2,000 MBNA £10,000, HSBC £10,000)
Loan HSBC £14,000.
I defaulted on just one credit card twice(MBNA). MBNA said that if I contacted their payment plan people and come up with some arrangement with them as to how much am able to afford each month my credit rating would still be ok. I decided to call Payplan instead and was told that my credit rating would be trashed for a while and should also setup a new A/C and cancel my payment protection with all my lenders.
I am hoping to change my job within the next two months as i already have interviews lined up so i see myself increase my payment to my debtors.
I guess am just a little bit worried about my credit score because as of yesterday after checking with Experian and Equifax my credit rating still very good . Should I let go of my credit rating?
Thanks
