Well there's a thread title you never thought you'd see
DH and DS and some friends went camping at the weekend and took my Alhambra. The problem is that they woke up Monday morning in the midst of a monsoon and just shoved everything, including a sodden tent, in the back of my car to bring home and I have been left with wet, VERY smelly, carpets in the boot of the car.
I've tried leaving the windows open in the hope that it will dry out (it was sodden, it's now only damp  ) but this awful smell remains. Any ideas you clever people

You could try generously sprinkling on bicarb as this absorbs odour. I used it on my carpet after my son had been sick and no odours there!
Or get some Febreeze or something if you'd rather try that.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
