Options
hello everyone

im in a bit of a panic...

basically just signed up to quid co and thought i know, ill sign up to this bet fair casino, deposit and spend 10 quid and then ill get 20 profit from quidoco but i dont know what on earth im doing...

i placed a bet on portugal beating turkey in euro 2008 and it didnt let me put in the whole 10, just something like 9.50.. im assuming it has to be the full 10 pound spent so i then tried to spend the last 50p to even it out but it saying i need to have more than 1 pound in the accoutn so i went to put another 1 pound in and now its saying i cant put in just a pound but 10 more!!! eeeek! i cant see me making any profit! so now ive left it alone and wondered what adivce anyone could give me, mainly will quidco give me the 30 i was planning on getting even though ive deposited then 10 it asked for but only spent 9.50!

god i knew i should of left it alone !! xxx:confused:

Play with fire and you are likely to get burnt. That said, can't see Portugal losing so I wouldnt worry too much.

tozer, ive certainly learned my lesson and i dont care to be honest losing the bet. but does everyone think itll have to be bang on 10 spent for the 30? i suppose if i did put another 10 on, its still 10 earned....
  • I think it would probably have to be £10

Hi, the only advice I can give is to use the remaining 50p to lay an odds on shot(i.e. 1.01). That said I still don't know if you will get the money through quidco. You may be better going on the gambling loophole forum where you may get better advice! Good luck!

No, Quidco probably won't give you the £30 if you don't bet the whole £10. Personally I would deposit another £10 (as far as I can remember that's the minimum deposit at a time on Betfair) then bet £2 on something (pretty sure minimum bet is £2), so your total bet would then be £11.50. You could then withdraw the remaining £8.50 to your card - just because you've deposited another £10 doesn't mean you have to bet it all. And then if you win your bets you can withdraw any winnings. And if you don't win you'll still be £18.50 up with the cashback (though do remember that cashback is never guaranteed!!)

    Hope that makes sense!

I would do as ltm suggests and lay (pink) something at 1.25 that way you should make the minimum £2 wager betfair insist on and you will have wagered the full £10 required.

I would just forget the whole thing and cancel the account now ! That is before you start losing more and more money like 99% of punters do .

Invariably the only person that wins is the bookie or in the case of a casino - the house. My own betting is limited as I only bet what I can afford to lose and as I currently have no spare money I don't bet.

If you have a problem with gambling, you should consider contacting Gamblers Anonymous because they are better able to give adivce and support.

    Hope this helps?
