For all those feeling despondent

Options
Just wanted to say that after having my lightbulb moment in January, I've managed to clear one of my credit cards and reduce my other debt by quite a substantial amount and I feel GREAT!!

For all those feeling despondent and not seeing an immediate change in their finances, I'd just like to say HANG IN THERE. I found it difficult to get into the budget swing of things to start with but now it's going great guns. Just be patient and remember that there are so many great budgeting tips on this site that will help you along.

Anyway, back to work! Just thought I'd share because I'm so happy to actually see my debt balance reduce!!! :D

    Hello hand,

Well done you & many congratulations  .

It is really tough going at first, I started budgeting in April & seem to have done nothing other than pay out for stuff until last week when the fruits of my labour started to yield hope !

The budgeting is now starting to come together & I feel I'm off the starting blocks now & hoping to gain momentum on the journey.

It's great to hear success stories it shows that it can be done :D

FWIW - your post has helped me stop grinding my teeth for a few moments realising that I can and will sort it all out.

    Thank you :T

    Congrats hand

Especially on clearing that credit card. Don't forget if you contact them to close it down you may be offered a 0% deal to keep it open. Just make sure you have had a statement through showing 0 outstanding.

You'll soon be changing your sig to < £20,000 :T

Thanks all! It's certainly a brilliant feeling. Good luck to all of you aswell - we can do it! I think the biggest challenge is trying to think positive about whatever situation we're in and realise that even though it may take time, we WILL get it sorted.
