Who do I complain to?

Options
I was sold an MGM endowment by a salesman who worked for (or perhaps traded as) an outfit called Canarymeade. His office was in the Estate Agents where we bought our first home in 1993 in another part of the country to where we now live. I'm sure there's a joke in the name "Canarymeade" somewhere but anyhow....

The question is: Do I complain to MGM or to Canarymeade (if it/he still exists) ?

Grateful for any advice.

My guess salesperson was a tied agent to MGM , as can't remember them being that big in the IFA market at that time for endowments

    Contact MGM
    Customer Centre
    MGM Assurance
    MGM House
    Heene Road
    Worthing
    West Sussex
    BN11 2DY

    Telephone: 01903 836067

they will deal with any queries you have ( or advise you if its an IFA case- and give last known details )

ps.. just having an endowment does not automatically mean you have a complaint

Canarymeade should be who you complain to unless Canarymeade were tied to MGM, in which case you complain to them

There is no match or even similar for that firm name on the FSA register. Your best bet is to contact MGM and ask them the details of the servicing advisor. They should supply you the name and address of the person still receiving the ongoing commission payments (assuming it wasnt tied). It doesnt mean that they will be responsible but if its the same advisor under a new name, it at least helps you track them down.
