Hi
I,d like to say a big thankyou to everyones kind words and encouragement after my first post earlier this week. I plan to post my SOA asap but have been busy packing for my move on Saturday.
The garage has just taken great delight in informing me the car failed the MOT. They're rubbing their hands together - 3 new tyres, retest fee and labour, in excess of £200. Just what i needed when the road tax is due this weekend also.
So getting through this month financially is going to be very challenging.
I think back to when I was a child and I used to wonder why my Mum used to count how many chips she put on our plates --- now I know!!!!!
Thanks again all DFW

Have you shopped around for quotes on the tyres? In my experience Garages charge much higher prices for them than tyre specialists.0 -
Just to say I feel you pain.. mine failed it's MOT this month too and that was also over £200. Had to do the tax that week too. My garage though retested for free, as I had them do the work to fix the failures - might be worth asking?Debt - Loan: £1150 C/C: £4763 @ 0%.0
