Has anyone got an tips for diminishing acne scars?
I've just had a really bad breakout on my chin - seemed to be kicked off my using Aldi's new super-duper face cream, which my face hated, and prolonged by stress of inlaws coming to stay, LOL.
I had bad skin from being 13 to 25 and have just being enjoying last few years of clear skin.
Never had any scarring until now, and I was sooo good, much better than in my teens; I kept grubby digits well away from face.
Gggrrr.

hi. i read somewhere that spots on chin could be related to not clearing out bowels properly. so you could try eating lots of fruit/veg/fibre/water to clear system. As for scarring i am using the 'post-blemish scar pen' from clinique (about £10). and you just twist the bottom of the pen applicator and apply the cream to the 'healed' spot.
i experimented over just one scar and it does seem to fade it but it does take a awhile.
or vit e oil they say helps - tried it but i don't like oils on my face (as already bit oily skin) and you need to be careful about going in sun with vit e as it makes it darker - need spf stuff etc.0 -
i remember reading somewhere that spots on the chin can be caused by using the phone (yes really!). Apparently there are loads of bacteria living in the mouthpiece-i now clean mine regularly!!!
You could try the oil cleansing method and aspirin face masks (i'm sure I seen threads on here about them) as I found them quite helpful. I do themboth once a week on defferent days and it seemed to hlp.
Let us know how you get on.xxxI love my boys! William born 08/01/08 and andrew born 22/2/09.0 -

I was just wondering if you'd recommend the Clinique's post blemish pen , as I'm thinking of buying it but it does cost quite a bit ! I've not been able to find online the ingredients in it though. I have medium to olive skin colour and you may be aware that on darker skin acne scars show up more - but it really has and does fade the blemish.
i've just checked the ingredients (i keep some boxes!) and though there is a big list some of the main contents are (i recognise!): glycerin; sucrose; yeast extract;green tea; soy bean seed extract; licorice rooy; mulberry root; tocopheryl acetate (i think vit E); amongst some combination of stuff i can't pronounce - but doesn't bother me as it works for me.
you could wait for bonus time coming up at House of Fraser from this thursday (only about 2-3wks though) - where if you bought 2 stuff you get a gift pack of minis stuff to try.0 -
thanks! Yes, have seen the thread about Bonus Time, would they tell you what the gift pack is before you purchase? Actually know someone who is going on holiday and wondering if it'd be worth getting from the duty free at airport.0

I have checked duty prices during holiday times, for past three years, and i noticed there is about £3-4 difference only compared to retail price. but it depends on what you choose i suppose. Personally i prefer bonus time!!!! But its up2U!
btw, if you go to the store (if its on your way that is!) if you ask about bonus time a few days b4 they sometimes show you from their diary of the contents or if you are registered with them then you can get a post card of the details (but like my thread i don;t know whats coming up in House of Fraser yet or Selfridges -they're not saying!!0 -
