Where to Start When Your on Basic Income Support

Options
Hi, Can anyone help I want to get back in some sort of control but have no idea where to go or start living on Income support and child benefit, I gave three kids, one 17 with mild asphergers and at college training to be a mechanic, one about to leave school hoping to go on a construction course and one whose 10. I have an overdraft with HSBC of £1250.00 Debts with MBNA and on repayment schems of £24.00 and £26.00 a month. A debt with Barclaycard Of about £4200 and because I havent been able to pay anything on that debt for months they have just passed it onto a debt collection agency, who say they will send a representative to call on me. I am realyy struggling now and cant see a way forward or even know where to start, I really cant affrord anymore rpepayments on anything else, I have a house in joint names where the Dhss pay certain amount an Husband who i have been seperated from for ten years, pays his half in lieu of child maitenace, which may of course stop or reduce soon.
Any sugeestions where to start

    Hi there,

Try contacting one of the debt charities like CCCS, National Debtline and CAB. They will advise you what is best.

Maybe posting up an SOA as well so people can advise you of any cuts you could make or ways of getting things cheaper.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

hi there, if you post a full SOA we can all give you tips, but my first suggestion is stop paying the others the agreed amount and share the total over all the creditors so at least all of them get something

I understand the concepts of cooking and cleaning
........ I Just dont understand how they apply to me!
