Morning all! Have had a busy week so far, so not had a lot of time for money making. That said, I am still on target up until Friday, so will be doing some relaxing before then.

Total at the moment is £475.58/£750.

    Some plusses:
Someone is coming over on Saturday to buy £60 worth of books from us, which will clear a lot of space in our shed and let us get to things more easily. Plus £60 is great!
I went to a charity shop yesterday and picked up a board game and two sewing books which sell really well on Amazon for just £1 the lot!
I have 77 items listed on Amazon at the moment! I am hoping to get this up to 100 this week, which would be fantastic.

Hope everyone has a fantastic day today!

    Hello :)

I've had a bit of a hiccup to the day - I can't seem to log on to check my emails plus I have no dialling tone on my phone. Grrrr.

On the bright side, I got a £10 Pigsback voucher on Monday (glad I finally got it as I've been saving it for my sister. She could do with a little treat as she's gorgeous at heart).

I also got about £90 today for a couple of articles I wrote.

Off to update my siggy. Have a nice day, all :)

    I AM BRAVE. I JUST DON'T KNOW IT....YET. :)
  • I have been using matched betting to earn my extra income. Last month i made £320 doing it, but this month has been slow. Too many do's and diy work for the new arrival due end of july. so this month i made £28 with Betfred. I made £9 with reload with sportingbet. And lost £4 on canbet due to a technical error on their part and losing my patience with them. i have 3 more qualifiers with betfred to lock in another £30 with them. Just had another reload on sportingbet but have yet converted it to real money.

    June £37/300

Also have loads of pc junk to ebay hopefully will get sold before end of june

I know I could probably ask somewhere else but here I think is the friendliest etc! I was trying to use quidco to get towards my £5 a day but I didnt get the cashback for something I bought. it says now - "ready to send" Does anyone have an idea what that means please!?!
On another note - I sold something on ebay again today - just have to post it hopefully today and then calculate the profit!!

I think "ready to send" means that Quidco have all the details to send to the merchant to ask for the cashback. If I remember correctly.

Sorry you're having a miserable day noggin - hope things get better. :)

re matched betting - it is really worth getting your head around - and once the penny drops (and it takes all of us a bit of effort!) it is very profitable - even just doing the straight forward offers. The beginners thread is a must read but the basic principle is this:

When you place a bet normally you are putting up money to say something will happen - while the bookie puts up money to say it won't. As it can only happen or not happen either the bookie will pay you or you will pay the bookie. Now online places like Betf@ir allow you to act as a bookie as well as the punter - so you can basically cover both sides of the same bet. If it wins you win as the "punter", if it doesn't you win as the bookie. And ignoring commission or differences in odds it ends up cancelling out any loss (ie you have the same money you started with). Not much fun so far. But imagine that someone gives you the money to bet with and you only have to pay to cover it as the bookie? Then you still end up with what you started with but the difference is that half of it was given to you in the first place - so you are better off. That is basically what happens with the free bets at bookies. You place a bet with them but cover the other outcome at an exchange like Betf@ir - whatever the outcome you win and - as long as the odds are close enough - you can take home 80-95% of the money they offer. Given that bookies can offer freebies of up to £100 it becomes very profitable.

Probably makes it as clear as mud! You definitely need to keep reading the beginners guide to be clear about the mechanics and try a few test bets on the newbie thread (without actually putting any money on them). Well worth it!

Hey thanks ever so much for this! I have considered matched betting for ages but havent been able to get my head round it totally, this makes loads more sense!! Thanks
