Very proud of myself... deep breath....

I have canceled our weekend at York next month after much deliberation, as me and DH have decided that we cannot afford it. Well, by that I mean I spelled out the obvious and then told DH we can't afford it so I've now canceled. Finally but finally, have I had my lbm?? :o

Instead, I am going to use the money to save (yes, save). Ok, I know technically we should pay debt instead of saving money with the interest etc. BUT... we never have a spare pot of money "just in case" and I would really like to have that back up plan. If the money is still sat there gaining interest when it comes round to ground rent paying time (April next year), we will use it towards that. :D

I hope someone can give me some encouragement as much as we very rarely go out at all and work our b**ls off to bring enough money into the house to feed and water us all, I did really want to go to York and so did DH. SO I'm pleased we've made the right decision despite that. :o
Instead, we are going to go to the caravan we've paid a fortune for for the year and have a nice child free time there as a couple instead.

It's absolutely not going to effect on this challenge, but I will change my sig so everyone can see what I'm now using it for!

    xx

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
Not off to a great start this month, but hopefully things will improve as the month goes on, I have a couple of private lessons booked for the end of the month which will be helpful, but I'm really not very motivated this month, when we saving for the wedding it was much easier!!!!!! I need to give myself a goal to save towards I think......
So totals so far for the month
    Pigsback - £1.25
    Shop and Scan - £3
    Brain Juicer - £1
    Pinecone - £4
    Quidco - 4p
    Total - £9.29
I'm aiming for £5 a day this month so total will hopefully be -£150

    OH FOR GOD'S SAKE!
Well, so I've been told, the hotel will charge us for the room even if we cancel it now (doesn't seem right to me but hey ho) and also my friend has already bought the tickets for the entry to the races all weekend, which I didn't realise. So, if we're going to have to pay for it we might as well go me thinks!
SOOOO... i will RE-update my sig (again) and continue saving for the races weekend in York.

I'm that busy moaning I've forgot to say... got a refund cheque through today for £39.15 from BT (we've not had our phone with them for YONKS and they just all of a sudden started taking direct debits out of our bank!). Anyway, I'm putting it into the savings account and when it clears drawing it out for my "stash" :D
