Just a thought on books - I asked the local book dealer at the car boot sale this morning if he bought books as well as selling. He said yes so I'm taking all my boyfriends unwanted books to the bootsale next weekend to see what he wants. It might be worth a try for some of you if you have someone at your local bootfair or with a second hand bookshop nearby.

Some authors sell well in lots on ebay but the postage charges are so big that most people won't pay much for the books themselves

Thanks. We did have someone from a local market come around just over a year ago but my Dad is adament that we don't use her again as she didn't even pay 50p for a book and he saw them on her stall for £6 the next week. I will keep working on him though, as money is better than nothing!

Maybe boxes of books on ebay with collection only would be worth a try - you could list them in genres. You could try your own little garage/yard sale outside your house - put some posters on lamposts and notice boards locally to advertise.

Grand ideas! We live in a close but I am sure we might sell a few books. Definately worth a try. Thanks.

I hope this is a sign of things to come but ebay has brought in just under £60. Will wait till everyone has paid up and postage and fees taken off before noting it down in sig.

    Is this extra income ?

If it is then I've earned £36...if we are only counting extra hours then its £20.

mountainofdebt, from what I understand it is above anything you would be making normally. So if you normally earn x amount for working, then overtime would be towards the challenge. BUT I think it is a personal challenge and you decide what counts and what doesn't.

  • I have over £50 coming from Amazon sales, but will not note it down until all sorted. Ebay i have 4 watchers on 4 items. £2, from pigsback and £70 due to be paid out from quidco. Wow it all adds up doesnt it?
A quick question.Amazon say they will pay out on 11th of June, yet there is a transfer money now button. Should i wait in case there are any disputes or refunds needed?

Got more stuff listed today and sorted out my amazon listings. More photos taken for more listings tomorrow. REALLY need to do well this month so I'm full of motivation!
