Halifax default

Hi there,
I had a halifax student account default and this has since been paid off monthly from a debt collection agency, they offered a full and final settlement offer in February which I accepted, £90 was knocked off the balance. They have since sent me a letter confirming that it has been paid and the case is closed, but the outstanding £90 is still showing on my credit report. I understand that the default will be on my account 6 years from settlement and while they have got the account open and the balance still noted my credit reference isn't improving. Does anyone have any advice about how to resolve this, should I write to them or just pay it?
Thanks, Lorna
