eBooks in MP3 format

martin did a thread a while back about ebooks. I didn't go through all pages of the thread because there were masses of links but does anybody know where you can get some downloadable books in MP3 format (as opposed to readable online) ? Most of the links I picked just had them in PDF format (or similar) - although knowing my luck I probably picked all the wrong links.

I have a few from the Computer shopper cover disks but am nearly finished most of them.

Thanks
Ivan

Did you see the thread about free books from 'The Times'

    Here

I'm not sure what format they are in but you can play them in ITunes so they can be exported to cd and I guess MP3.

If you go to the CD Wow site, you'll see a link get 3 free audio books. This offer is also from https://www.audible.co.uk - the same company offering the Times offer.

If you register and sign up with Audible for a Premium subscription (£15 a month) using the CD wow link you are credited with 2 books per month, plus the 3 bonus books. You can use these 5 credits to choose any of the books on the https://www.audible.co.uk site to download. You can get these IN ADDITION to the 5 free downloads from the Times offer. So there's a total of 10 free audio books.

IMPORTANT - just remember to ring and cancel your subscription before the end of your free month!

EDIT: The offer of 3 free audio books now appears directly on Audible.co.uk 's homepage, so there's no need to go through CD-Wow. Go to www.audible.co.uk
