PayPal Fees!

Can anyone advise me on extortionate Pay Pal Fees? My daughter recently transferred moeny from Paypal to her bank account carrying out 3 individual transactions of £15.75/£34.75 and £27.75. Now she had recently changed bank accounts with the Halifax and in error selected to transfer the money to her "old" bank account number instead of the new one.

When she realised I rang Halifax and they told me to speak to Paypal as the money would be returned there by the bank. I spoke to Paypal who confirmed this saying it will take 7-9 days from each transaction date to come back into the Paypal account.

The transactions are now back in there but Paypal have charged £14 per transaction as a fee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At first when i rang to query this they said it was the bank who charged the £14 each time not them. So I rang the Hailfax who confirmed they charged nothing at all. So rang Paypal again and was told this time that it is a "standard" transaction fee charged for instances where money is returned from a closed account. I asked how they justify £14 for doing nothing really and they just replied "it is in the terms and conditions" you signed for on registration!!!! Now getting very annoyed I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold - no answer though!

Has anyone else experienced this and if so what was the outcome as I think this is so unjustified and unfair! I also tried to find reference to this "£14 standard" charge in the T & C's and fees outlined on the web site but cannot find it anywhere!

I am not going to let this go - robbing theives, but any advice would be appreciated

Very disgruntled mum!

It warns you every time you withdraw funds that if the account details are not correct and the payment bounces back there is a charge for doing so.
