convert tesco voucher to deals?

this will be the first time i've used my tesco vouchers on deals and i'm planning to use them for a full service on my car using nationwide.
i've read other peoples threads but i'm unsure of certain things, so if anyone could shed some light i'd be grateful.

what do the tokens look like, will i receive in the post or print online?
also, has anyone had any problems using them at nationwide? i know the conversion rate is x4 and their full service prices are fixed, but i've read how some companies increase it (although this might be just holiday deals). my mums also given me hers, so if she converts it online could i use the token when she receives it?

these may seem abit silly questions its just i dont want to redeem my vouchers only to find out theres a problem using them.

thanks in advance for any help

    Hi Levis2891
Ok the vouchers look like old fashioned vouchers before they bought out the cretit card tipe. You order them on line from tesco clubcard Here. They send them to you in the post within a few days if your lucky.
Give your local branch of nationwide a ring before you order them and they will be able to tell you how much etc it is likely to cost you.
I think its just the holiday vouchers you have the problem with.
Don't know about your last question as I only use my own vouchers.
    Good luck

  • If you mums surname is the same as yours you might be OK as the vouchers will often have your surname on and may include a postcode. Best to order yours first and see what they are like.

If Nationwide have set prices then you should be OK, it's holiday and cars that you won't get any discount on when you use deals to pay for them.

Nationwide Auto have a variety of discounts ( online, AA, Quidco, Tesco discount, service+MOT offer) available though that aren't available if paying by points + I guess any extra work they do over and above service would be charged in normal way

Clubcard Deals Vouchers can only be used for full or part payment towards a Full Service (menu price) and / or MOT (VOSA fee). They cannot be used for any other type of servicing or combined service & MOT offers

I use a 2.5x or 3x figure when looking at holidays ( instead of 4x , when ignoring other discounts) - so guess similiar here

hi, i converted my vouchers for first time only last week. I did it online and got the vouchers within 3 days which I was really suprised about. I rang the helpline to enquire about using them and was told that any unused before deadline could easily be carried over again or converted back to points. I think its a brilliant idea and for £14 worth of tokens i got £55.00 in vouchers for days out for the kids in the summer! Bargain!!
Its a shame more supermarkets don't do a similar thing.

I recently used Clubcard vouchers to buy my husband a watch from Goldsmiths. I rang to ask if we could combine our Clubcard points and they said as long as they were registered at the same address it was fine. I converted them online and recieved the vouchers within a few days.

Apologies for slightly off topic - like OP I've never converted my points to Deals either.
Please can anyone tell me what Goldsmiths vouchers look like when they arrive? Do they have full name/address printed on, or surname/postcode, or nothing (just normal gift voucher)?

I ordered some Goldsmiths vouchers at the start of the week and they have arrived already! They just have the surname printed on them - no initial/address/postcode. They have 'Tesco Clubcard' on them, so not exactly the same as a shop-bought gift voucher but very similar. hth

Sorry, this is a bit off topic as well.

Can anyone please tell me if you convert your vouchers to deals are they only valid for one provider? I'm thinking of using them for a holiday but at the moment we're really undecided which operator (if any!) to go with.

I have posted this on another thread as well but wondered if someone here could help. Thanks very much.
