cookingmummy - re the sad carpet, how about a blanket on the floor, gives it a more party feel (or a bed spread at a push) and you can also throw it in the washer when finished as you just know that the little peeps will spill and throw everything!!!!!!! and you then can be super cool about it all! you can always tell the parents its so that if they topple over they wont hurt themselves as its soft. HTH Dink1
Thoughts are with you Mrs M!
Thanks for this dink - I have an old duvet covered in gold stars (from my grungy uni days) and could pop this down - may as well find some use for it!0 -
Mrs M Take care, our thoughts will be will you..hope things go ok0

Felinefantastic - re the bread in the fan oven I find that the top cooks quite quickly in mine so I take the loaves out of the tins and put them back in the oven upside down for a few minutes to finish off.
Wow- never thought of this! I will definitely try this- upside down loaves
MrsMc- prayers and positive thoughts to you and your family- please let me know if you need anything at all :grouphug: :grouphug:

Thanks lil_me - the cats eat 2 pouches a day each and then some dried food at night. I am going post a new thread anyway as not sure if I should have put it on here!!
Hi Pixie and welcome. You are totally on the right thread, no need to post a new thread (it would prob get moved onto here anyway).
One thing I would suggest, if you get a chance, is to read through some of the first entries in this thread (be warned, it is addictive). The reason I say that is because at the beginning of each new month, lots of people join us and you will see loads of stuff given to them on how you can save money on your groceries and some general good ideas.
You'll also see we are a great bunch for encouraging and giving support, so if you have a good day let us know, it's always nice to hear good achievements, and if you have a bad day, again let us know - it's weird but getting it out on here is kinda theraputic (maybe it's just me)
Once you decide on your challenge - be it your usual £250 for July or just a bit lower to start - post it on here in bold red writing to be picked up for the list, usually by Mrs M, but for obvious reasons it will be by AngelNikki for a while (Thanks AngelNikki by the way, very kind of you to help Mrs M out :T )
Bulking food out to make it go twice as far is a great way to save, buying cat food in bulk from one of the great sites mentioned on here is another, but just having a good read is one of the best ways.
Good luck, and remember, trying is the main thing and you are having a go, so at least you're on your way... well done you! :TLBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -

I had my last delivery of the month tonight the total came to £82.19 after discounts and vouchers. This included my bulk buy of pasta, rice & flour. I am going to include that in this months after all as I am still under budget with it added on. So my total for the month is £314.81/£320 :A yay me!MRSMCAWBER wrote: »ANGELNIKKI... if the offer is still there to look after the list i would really appretiate it.. That's no problem at all MrsM :A (I've replied to your PM). Fingers crossed I can get on the first page like you so skillfully manage to do. I'm going to try and do a recipe index aswell so that if any recipes are posted on the thread there will be a link to it on the first page. Should make things easier for everyone.
Can everyone put their targets in Big Red Bold Text for angelnikki So its easier for me to spot them Thanks
Our thoughts are with you MrsM (((hugs))) Take care :grouphug:
