Hello I'm a newbie to this site, not sure if im posting in the right area! just need a bit of advise on catalogue charges...
Silly me went through a phase of using littlewoods as i wasnt really earning enough- anyway i didnt buy much but late payment fees made everything add up so much. In Feb my partner helped me pay off most of my debt with them- i only had about £40 left to pay in the end- but with rent, bills etc to pay for (not mentioning that im about to have a baby any day  ) ive dropped behind again and in the space of a few months the cost has now gone up to £125  this just being admin charges and late payment fees
My question is- like with claiming credit card/ bank charges is it possible to do the same here? These charges are ridiculous and although it may not seem like much to pay im struggling to cope with my wage at the moment as i'm on stat maternity pay, i really can't afford to pay that much back at the moment and the last thing i want to do is ask for my partners help again- he's going to feel so let down and disappointed in me.
Im such a screw up- im doing my best to bring in more money- im ebaying my life away but thats just not enough at the moment
When i finally pay this off i'll be debt free in my name- I'll just need to assist my partner paying off his credit card- carefully we know we can manage that.
Its so sucky that i got so close and my stupidity has put me back at square one again.
Someone PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME
Thank you
Lauren

you can go down the reclaim path with these charges however that will be a long hard slog and won't stop them adding more and more to it.
Can you post a full SOA so we can try help you find the money to at least make the monthly minimums.
And other question is do you have all the documantation ready to claim child benefit and tax credits once baby arrives??MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -
Short answer - YES
You can reclaim the charges in exactly the same way as for banks.
There is another board for that which will hopefully have all the details step by step, but if you don't have the statements you can send for a subject access request and get all the details they hold on you from up to 6 years ago.
For your boyfriend though, dealing with his CC - is his credit rating ok? No late payments or defaults or anything? If so you may want to suggest a virgin money card to him. 0% APR on balance transfers for 15 months. This means that if he gets enough of a limit he can transfer the balance he is currently paying interest on to a 0% card and clear the debt quicker.
You should be able to work out the saving from this calculator.
