Hiya
I have just registered to see my credit report and it has concerned me but not for the reasons i was expecting.
I have debts with about 8 different creditors, from 2 years ago.
The ones I am paying off, seem to be listed there, but not things like my overdraft (although im within my limit) and more worringly two other debts i have. One is a big Lloyds TSB Overdraft that is around £3500 and i havent paid them a penny since last September time (due to them charging £250 a month interest-long story!) and im now being chased by their solicitor, although i havent heard anything for around 3 months. The other is a phone bill with BT, which got referred to Moorcroft, i rung them up to organise a repayment plan, and the women was just really nasty to me, shouting and saying she would personally see to it that I would not recieve a payment plan, and take me to court. Since then i have heard nothing, but as yet the debt is not registered on there. (happened last August)
Does anyone have any ideas why?
Also the credit repot has over 80 address connections for me, and my stepmum is my other " known financial association?" (i guess from back in 2004 when i lived at home?)
It turns out that my credit report is not half as bad as it should be, and im worrying, whether i pay all my debts on time etc in the future (as i have been doing), and then they put these debts on later on and i will have a bad credit report again.
Apologies if this is in the wrong place.
Thanks

Hiya, Have you just registered with one? From what I've read on here there are 3 different credit reference agencies - Experian, Call Credit and Equifax. I think different companies use different agencies (if that makes sense). Hope this helps.

There should be a way to get your credit report for about £2 from each of the CRA's. I'll have a dig through some threads and see if i can find out how - never done it myself. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0
Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/20110 -
Found it. You can get a report from each of the agencies for £2 if you request it by post. There are also template letters you can send to each one.

It's listed under the free section, but your probably better paying for the paper copy. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

Hi jopwo_87
I signed up with equifax this morning. There is a loophole :-) The information on what needs to be done to avoid the £69.99 is on this page towards the bottom. Just remember to cancel your account within the free 30 days!!
hope that helps0 -
Hi Jopwo
I've been getting printed copies of my reports for years & I've never seen any of my overdrafts listed on any of the CRA's reports.
Strangely enough I've never seen any of my mortgages listed either0 -
Iv just checked my report on the other one and that explains it lol.:D
Lloyds have listed it with them instead. Still no record of the BT debt with Moorcroft though?Thinking it over...:o0 -

I've been checking my reports online for a little while now, and I always wondered why my mortgage doesn't show on any of them? That's bizarre considering it's the biggest debt??
Jo, it's worth checking which reports you can get online for free. I'm signed up with checkmyfile.com which shows detailed reports for Callcredit and Experian, but not detailed info for Equifax. On one of the reports, there is a telecommunications area which lists my phone etc, maybe the BT bit is there??
Good luck

Address connections are fine (if correct). If you have applied for credit and not lived at the same address for approx 6 years they ask for a previous address. But 80 seems very high. As for a financial association with your stepmum. This should only occur if you have a joint bank account together or have applied for credit together therefore have both names on the loans. Again check this out looking at closly and getting intouch with credit report agency0
