We're looking at inflatable kayaks and have noticed a cheap one on ebay:

Is this any good?
What should we be looking for?
It's for use on Lake Garda in August.

Hi,
This is one that ive got, i looked around like you then bought after the advice of 'you get what you pay for'.

Basically, the one you have shown is of vinyl construction which is inside the colorado(link) rugged nylon's outer casing, your one is very vulnerable to sharp rocks clothing etc, and also over inflation.
Look for at least 400kg loading capacity, i know it sounds a lot, but for a kayak and equipment and kids it doesnt go that far.
You will also get good or bad steering based on price paid. (im no expert BTW) an absolute novice;)

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.0

Thanks for your responses so far.
It seems the basic Kayaks may not be very durable - so perhaps we need to aim a bit higher in price.0
