Want: SKY TV, not in freeview coverage

I am after getting Freeview however we are not in a coverage area for it so I have decided to now look at SKY packages.
I was after knowing the cheapest SKY package, and if there was any satellite etc where we would just pay for installation and nothing else - ie, just like freeivew>

Many thanks

Freesat may be quite expensive though for the initial installation - look in your local Yellow Pages for satellite installers and see if any of them will give you a box and dish (installed) for less.

The BBC and ITV are launching a free satelitte service called Feesat early next year, dont get it confused with $ky of similar name. Might be worth waiting until then if not in a rush.

The cheapest sky package is £15 a month, and your equipment (digibox and satellite) is free,. as is your installation when you subscribe. If you subscribe online then you get your first month half price as well at the moment.

    Hi,

I live in Milton Keynes, which is a non coverage area, our nearest transmitter is 23 miles away! However, We have a freeview box with a signal booster and an arial in the loft and we can pick up virtually everything that freeview transmits. The signal is a bit dodgy occassionally in bad weather.

I would ask around in your area and see if anyone actually has Freeview via an arial first as its a lot of money to shell out if it won't pick up.

    Good luck!

    Sarah :D
