Wet and dry vacuum.

Need a new wet and dry vacuum cleaner, like yesterday or last year pref., have one that is now 6 years old bought as it was cheap and well known make. The present one is not wet and dry!

Have a smallholding out in the sticks, get plenty of mud, animal pooh and ash from solid fuel Aga. Partner likes to creep out in his slippers or try and creep in with his shoes on!!!

Recommendations gratefully received, where to buy make and model etc. Have tried the sites that do a comparison - ops what happened there! Fancy writing!! What they don't tell you is how good a cleaner is for "heavy duty" Have had a Victor ind., excellent but don't need one quite big or powerful now, only have a bungalow and that would be too clumsy!

Thanks for all the great post all - and Martin too, love the site and forums.

Cheers:T

We recently bought a Bissell carpet cleaner direct from Bissell online but bought the refurbished one saving alot of money. It may be refurbished but looked and worked like new so probably just a return. Paid £90 for something which cost a minimum of £60 more but then got upgraded to the next model so well pleased. Just spent the BH weekend cleaning all the carpets. Very impressed apart from cleaning a tiled floor as the attachment got caught in the grouting and kept being pulled off. For carpets it is really good though. Came with some cleaning fluid too. Bought extra fluid from ideal world as it worked out a third of the price.

Thank you very much, sounds good, will look around for a small inexpensive vacuum cleaner to go with one! Hope the sun shines your way next week end so you can get out and enjoy yourself after all that work last week end! :T

Need a vacuum cleaner with enough go in it to get up the dust left by my solid fuel Aga. Also, one that is light to hold and easy to use on ceilings. Got a spot of arthritis. Any one bought a good one they can recommend. Would be grateful for info.
    Cheers folks. ;)
