Fixed or Tracker?

H applying for our mortgage on thursday when our broker is coming round, i've always had a tracker but at the moment in this currne t climate which do you think would be best, a fixed 3 year deal or 3 year tracker?
My partner and i both have a decent income so being able to afford the payments won't be a problem if they rise ( unless of course they went mad like in the 80's )
Any advice please

This is something you are going to have to conclude yourself, or go visit a professional mortgage advisor who can give you advice.
Neither trackers nor fixed rates are particularly cheap at the moment (compared to a year ago, for example) so you may want to question whether you want a mortgage product that ties you in for a specific period.
Don't discount the idea of a term tracker - that way in 3 years you won't have to switch mortgage to get a better deal if the tracker is still competitive. HSBC have a good one at the moment.
